| Regular Army |
Mental: To enlist in the Army, you must become mentally qualified by receiving a passing score on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Test (ASVAB). Passing scores are as follows:
- if you have a High School diploma, or a GED and 15 credit hours of college, then you must achieve a score of 31 or higher on the ASVAB
- if you are still in High School, or have your GED, then you must achieve a score of 50 or above on the ASVAB.
Physical: To enlist in the Army, you must meet certain physical qualifications, and be able to pass a simple entrance physical, which includes meeting the minimum height and weight standards, which can be seen HERE. Some childhood illnesses or injuries will disqualify you from enlistment or appointment, so ensure that you inform your Recruiter of anything that you might consider a problem.
Moral: If you have ever been arrested, charged, cited, or held by the police, then you need to inform your Recruiter to determine if you are eligible for enlistment.
Administrative: Administrative qualifications are those that are not covered by any other category of qualification. They include
- Age: You are eligible to enlist in the Army if you are between the ages of 18 and 34. If you are 17, you will be allowed to enlist with your parent or guardian�s consent.
- Education: You are eligible to enlist if you
- Are a High School Graduate or above
- Have a G.E.D.
- Are a High School Senior

| Army Reserves |
| The qualifications for the Army Reserve are the same as those as for the Regular Army, with the exception that you are allowed to enlist as a High School Junior |

| Officer Candidate School |
If enlisting for OCS, you must
- Meet the basic eligibility criteria as listed above
- Possess documentary proof of having received a baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited college or university. Foreign transcripts must be evaluated. Applicants in their senior year of a college program leading to the award of a baccalaureate degree may be enlisted if a letter or transcript is provided indicating expected graduation date
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Not have 10 or more years active military service, nor will have more than 10 years active military service at time of commission.
- Be at least 19 years of age and not have passed their 29th birthdate at time of Regular Army enlistment
- Meet medical standards prescribed for officer candidates

| Warrant Officer Flight Training |
If enlisting for WOFT, you must
- Meet the basic eligibility criteria as listed above
- Possess documentary proof of having received a high school diploma or higher education degree. It is preferred that applicants have at least 2 years of college.
- Be at least 19 years of age and not have passed their 29th birthdate at time of RA enlistment
- Be not taller than 76 inches or shorter than 64 inches in height
- Agree to accept appointment or commission as a warrant officer for an indefinite term in the USAR and serve on Active Duty for not less than 72 months after successful completion of Flight Training
- Undergo a complete type "A " medical examination for class " 1" flight.
- Not have attended or have been eliminated or graduated from a previous course of military-sponsored flight or preflight instruction program
- Be a U.S. citizen
