![]() The Army wants intelligent young men and women, and is willing to assist you in attaining your educational goal. When I was first in Germany, I had NO desire to futher my education...I was a little to busy enjoying European culture. When I got to Fort Bragg, however, I was allowed to go to Campbell University. In one semester, I attended four classes...12 credit hours...and the only thing I had to pay for was my books. Additionally, Campbell University took my military experience, and gave me credit for additional classes. |
![]() If you have not driven a vehicle that weighs 91,000 lbs through a war-torn country downhill at 45 miles an hour with a 60 ton tank on the back of your truck... ...or saw the sun coming up over the trees at dawn after you just jumped out of an airplane with 45 lbs of equipment strapped to you... ...or stood on the landing zone of a helicopter pad located less than 100 miles from the Arctic Circle while a UH-47 Blackhawk was relying on you to guide it in... ...then you have no idea about the meaning of Adventure |
![]() The pay and benefits that I receive in the Army are excellent...some things are great to have, like 30 days paid vacation a year and free housing. Other things, you hope you never need, such as the free medical...unfortunately, both of my children were born with medical conditions that would cost my wife and I tens of thousands of dollars a year. With the free medical care available to my family members through the Army, both of my children are now perfectly healthy. |
![]() I remember where I was on September 11th...do you?. |
![]() As I have mentioned elsewhere, I have travelled to over 17 countries, and over 20 states. I spent New Year's Eve 1994 in the Hard Rock Cafe, Amsterdam; New Year's Eve 1995 in Hungary; and I spent New Year's Eve 1996 drinking Spanish wine and eating Hasenpfeffer while sitting on a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in Barcelona, Spain Don't know of too many people who can say that... |
