Mkasi or Kasi was born April 14, 1995. She will be 8 years old this year. She was our first Rhodesian Ridgeback and has been a dear companion for almost 8 years and, God willing, for many more years to come. |
|
|
Ch. Vikela�s Hintza Mpenzi (Hintza) is our second Ridgeback. He was born February 28, 1997. At one year of age, he joined Kasi and me on our runs. He has been a constant companion ever since. He is the sire of our February �02 and our July '04 litters. |
|

| Pictured here (left) at 14 months of age, she helped me train for several marathons, accompanying me on my 20 mile runs every Saturday morning. She now leads a more sedate lifestyle - shorter runs, long walks and keeping puppies in line. |

Ch. Vikela�s Nandi Jamani (Nandi) was born December 10, 1998. She reluctantly comes running with us. She has a mind of her own and proved to be a wonderful mother. |

Jack was born March 11, 2001. he is not officially a champion, but as far as we are concerned he is. He has endeared himself to our human family. He is courageous and protective of his human family. |

Her recovery, after giving birth to 12 puppies and then 8 puppies, was remarkable. She started coming for long walks with us after about two months and began running again 4 months later. |

Our two puppies were born on February 4, 2002. Ch. Jumbamkasi�s Indy Rani (Indy) and Jumbamkasi�s Mwafu Rafiki (Mwafu). Indy�s personality and looks are closer to her mom, Nandi. She is very affectionate, occasionally defiant and definitely has a mind of her own. She achieved her championship at 8 months and showed beautifully (unlike mom). Mwafu is a lot like her dad, Hintza, in looks and outlook. She is laid back and takes life in her stride. Her championship came at the age of 14 months. |
