Hello. My name is Joohee Chung. This homepage is for my Internet English class in University.
Who is SHE?
I was born in Seoul, South Korea and I have lived in Seoul till now. There are four members in my family: father, mather and little sister. I graduated from Ewha girls' foreign language highschool. My major was chinese at that time.
I am a Ewha Womens' University student. I am majoring in Chinese language and literature, senior now. So I have studied chinese for a long time but it's still too dificult for me. Here are some pictures with my friends in University.
What does she LIKE?
Thesedays my favorite thing is cooking. Basically, I love eating delicious food. To find a good restaurant is one of my pleasure. I know lots of good restaurants. So if you want I can recomend a restaurant.
Last month I found a really nice place called "Mad For Garlic". In this place they put lots of garlics in all the menu. When I first heard about that place I thought the name "Mad for Garlic" was kind of scary. But after I tried some food I really became mad for food made of garlic.
So I would like to recommend this restaurant. Before I went to USA I know nothing about cooking. But in USA I had to cook and tried to make lots of food. I pretty enjoyed it and now it became my one of hobbys. I like to cook chinese food. 'Cause korean food is more difficult to cook and I don't like wester food that much.
I also like to bake a cake. It's really easy and I can give it to someone for present. So I really enjoy baking a cake. But there's a lot of butter and sugar in cake, I'am worried that it could make me fat.
I like Japanese song and drama. I'm intereted in japanese culture becauese it's similar to korean culture but also very different. Before it was illegal to listen to japanese pop , watch japanese drama 'cause Korean government didn't accept japanese culture. But from this year it became legal.
So I found that it's quite interesting. I wanted to understand more and decided to learn japanese. Learning japanse is not so easy. But through japanese language I could understand it's culture more deeply. So I am stutying japanese hard.
I like traveling. I like domestic trip but I prefer to go abroad. It takes more money(infact much more money) but it makes me to experience lots of new things and be friends with different people. So I love traveling abroad. I've been to Mexico this summer. My Mexican friend invited me. I thought it could be dangerous to go Mexico, especially Mexico city.
But it was such a good opportunity in my life. And I went there. In fact Mexico was not as dangerous as people say and Mexican people were so kind. I made some good friends there and tried real Mexican food, not amrican style mexican food. Before that trip I thought amarican style mexican food was real Mexican food. But it turned out not true.
