When i finally decided to make available my "personal stash" as it were, i went rummaging to try to find some older writings of mine - maybe for a comparison to what i'm writing now, maybe just for a laugh. Probably more of the latter. Well, unfortunately, all i found was a folder full of poems i had written - mostly from 1996 through 1999 - my last year of high school & my first couple years of college. Looking through them for the first time in quite a while was more comedy than discovery, but i did manage to pick out a few decent nuggets. There are some not-so-bad lines here & there, but most of these are just lovesick/heartbroken drivel or me trying to show off my amazingly diverse vocabulary. And if you think the ones here are bad, you should see some of the shit i'm leaving out. Wow! But... they are mine. Kind of like an ugly child whom you just can't keep locked in the basement it's whole life, i have to kind of love these little terds. So i'm presenting them here, without polish, for good or ill.
