Benvenuto a Firenze! The birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence is a city built on water, stone, and breathtaking artwork. Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Botticelli...the list of artists who worked here is endless. I had more fun taking pictures here than anywhere else. And a round of thanks goes to my digital camera, perfect for snapping photos in museums while guards watched like hawks, making sure I DIDN'T take pictures. I'm not making any money off this site, so don't sue, please! (If you do, all you'll get is this computer, which you don't want, trust me.) Sorry about the poor quality on some of the pictures, I really need to get my scanner working.
Florence is also considered Hannibal Lecter's hometown. If you're a Lecterphile like me, be sure to check out my special Lecterphile's section after you finish here; it's a double dose of Florence and other places of good taste. Take your time here, and enjoy one of the most culturally rich cities in the world. Do not do what I did and rush around trying to see everything, otherwise you will be a walking zombie the next morning. So, here's the list, in alphabetical order. |
