It was the best of times, it was the worst of times ...
The 2004 Carolina Killers strung together an impressive run to their second Tech Bowl title in 2004. Entering the playoffs as the AFFC's No. 4 seed, the Killers knocked off the No. 1-seeded Jayhawks, the No. 3 Sequel then NFFC No. 2 Jellypop Fighters. The team immediately collapsed in Week 17, however, and secured the No. 1 overall pick for the 2005 Draft by scoring just 15 points and dropping to last place in the final standings.
