:: It Comes From The Soul ::
College - Freshman Year. The beginning of college is a time when emotions run rampant and you are faced with worries and hopes for the future. You don't often get a chance to start over, but you hope that with this new chance, things don't go horribly wrong. I went through a rollercoaster of emotions. I had billions of hopes for the future, one of which was the question as to whether my roommate would be an evil mutant threatening to kill myself and prized plant Jim while we rested unknowingly in our sleep OR if she would be this sweet angelic angel that praised me day in and day out and called me 'Oh Wise One' or 'Oh Thou Who Is All Knowing'. Well, neither of those happened. I remember when I first called her and talked to her about important personal college questions such as, "To Microfridge, or To Not Microfridge". We solved that dilemma (microfridge won in case you wanted to know). We had a long length phone conversation that lasted, oh... 5 minutes tops. I was certain she was going to be the former (aka the one who kills in sleep). The day of judgment arrived (we moved in) and there she was in all her 5'5 glory just waiting to pounce on my unsuspecting being. Good thing my parents were around, they were on the look out for that. But see, somehow the most uncanny thing happened. Somehow I found myself living with the one roommate who was my perfect complement. Somehow I lucked out. Never have I been particularly lucky in life, but how can I say that now that I have gotten to meet and live with my perfect complement? Well, there goes the rest of my luck. (It's okay, I didn't need that money from the lottery anyway.. well.. if I won I could probably pay someone to be my soulroomie, but hey.. there's more humor in the fact that I don't pay her!). But hey, what can I say? She's perfect.
