"Gompaci a Komurasaki"
novel, incl.first reference to Japanese tea (just a few words in a preface) by Czech writer - in his romantic version of Japanese legendary story about Gompachi and Komurasaki
src.: "Pribeh caje" (Tea story, 2002); by Mr.Thoma Zdenek and family
1894 Korensky Josef: "Zaponsko" Czech great original travelogue - including first reliable information about Japanese tea farming, etc.
1908 5.~10. Japonska cajovna*

1987 10.1 "Cajova spolecnost" ★'Tea Association' - first special tea (Japanese incl.) study group in Cz officially formed in Prague - as an expert section of "CSVTS" =Czechoslovak society of science and technology (thanks to Mr.Skacel from co."Balirny obchodu", importer-wholesaler), enthusiastically supported e.g. by Ms.Brunova from "Tuzex" imp.co. ;
Note: Tea Association's logo was composed of letters Č,A,J (čaj =Czech word for 'tea') stylized into the shape of Sino-Japanese character for tea {originally 'Č' stood for China (=in Czech: Čína), 'A' for England (=Anglie) and 'J' for Japan (=Japonsko) - the most important countries for the tea culture} ;
Association was several times re-formed (officially registered as "Cajova spolecnost Camellia thea Pragensis (CATAI)" in 1992/4/17 under No.VSP/1-11 242/92-R)
... since 1993 oriented mostly on Japan and later ended as Tea section of Czech-Japan Association.
