SSG Craig is a Special Forces (SF) professional with a number of years in USArmy Operational Detachment-Alpha units. Currently, he is temporarily assigned to Alpha Section of the 210th's Scout Platoon, deployed to Afghanistan. Although relatively new to the 210th, he is the Unit's most experienced SF soldier, and has proven himself to Command on this recent deployment "downrange." He has been selected as Team Leader. SGT DeMaso is another recent addition to the 210th. His SF specialties include Military Operations on Urbanized Terrain (MOUT) and computers/communications. He is currently unassigned and has been instructing the Reserve Command Academy cadre in urban operational techniques. He will serve as the RECON Force's Communications Specialist. CPL Morgan is the Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) gunner for Alpha Section of the Scout Platoon. Also deployed to Afghanistan, Morgan came to the 210th from the USArmy 75th Ranger Regiment. He will be the Team's Fire Support. CPL Roberts has just joined the 210th and immediately volunteered for the new unit. He has recently completed USArmy Ranger School and will be attending Explosives/Ordinance Disposal (EOD) training here at the 210th shortly, making him the Team's Demolitions Specialist.
The 210th's Provisional A-Team - A/REC/210 (P), is looking forward to beginning FFOR Q-School as soon as the class begins.

RECON Platoon 'Aquires' Transportation APR02, Ft. Ross - The 210th's RECON Platoon has "appropriated" some wheels! Although the motorpool here is somewhat sparse, Fort Ross did take delivery of a police command vehicle this past December from Commander King's unit. Unfortunately, due to mission contraints and training requirements, no one has had a chance to work on her. The original plan was to convert it to a troop carrier for the CRT. "They have no way to get around - it's downright embarrasing," DRCO Colonel Begines muttered. However, after doing some research on the internet, corporals Morgan and Roberts hit on what they thought was a better idea.

Here's what they're starting with... Wish them luck!
Morgan's dream vehicle.
"How 'bout we turn it into one of these...?" Morgan said gleefully, pointing to this special ops hummer: Roberts was unsure, "You think our boys in the motorpool can handle something like that?" "Motorpool ? We don't need no stinkin' motorpool," Morgan was enraptured with the pics. "We can do it ourselves. While we're waiting for Q-School to start." After much begging and pleading with Headquarters Platoon, the vehicle was transferred to RECON, in hopes it would keep Corporal Morgan quiet for a while. Colonel Begines was less enthused about the situation, "It'll keep them out of trouble... well... it better!" The 210th's motor pool was more than glad to give the vehicle up. "They're gonna need to do some modifications for their purposes," Motor Sgt Durden laughed, "it's not quite spec-ops quality. Heck, it's blue and white, for cryin' out loud!" CPL Morgan was undeterred, "We can't wait to get to work on her. She'll' do just fine." Roberts gave him a look, but kept his mouth shut. He had a lot of work to do...
RECON Welcomes SGT Hatch JUL02 - Ft. Ross. SGT Sheridan E. Hatch joined the 210th's RECON Platoon this month, transferring from the USArmy's 82nd Airborne Division. An infantry soldier with experience as a sniper, SGT Hatch will take some of the rifleman/sniper duties from SSG Craig, allowing him to focus on his Team Leader responsibilities. "We're glad to have him," Craig said, "He has an impressive resume and some very good fitreps. Can't wait to get him in the field." This sentiment was echoed by Hatch, "I don't like garrison much. I'd rather be playing in the woods."
