The first steps in programming your remote using a JP1 interface are:
· Buy or build a JP1 Cable
· Download the latest version of the IR program from the 2.0 Tools directory of the Files section in the JP1 Users Group
· Use the IR program to download the contents of your JP1 compatible remote to your PC
Once this download is successful, the IR program will automatically identify your remote and display its current programming on a number of different tabs. If this is successful, the Title Bar of the IR program will display the name of the remote which was downloaded.
