More big crinoid fossils in the driveway

More Crinoid fossils here.

What you have here is the beginnings of geodization.
Some of these geodized stems are huge.
Thank you Brian

They are all from the Mississippian, Glen Dean Golconda formation near Bloomington.
Thank you Brian

These crinoids were huge with stems probably upwards of 10 ft. tall with huge crowns as well. For some reason the crowns didn't preserve. What you see are two types of runners coming off of the main stem: you have some branching that occurred along the main stem as it rose to the crown and then you have the anchor branches that grew down into the seabed to support the crinoid.
Thank you Brian

Some more big ones.

Just showing off my camera.

More effects (I love this camera!
