WEEKEND ASSIGNMENTS
The Weekend Assignments will alternate each week between the Creative Career Project and Bi-weekly Essay. Your Reflections Journal will serve as a starting point and resource guide for both the Creative Career Project and Bi-weekly Essay.
CREATIVE CAREER PROJECT
The objective of the Creative Career Project is to give you a chance to imaginatively explore careers that share a similarity with the literary focus of that week. Some of the Creative Career Projects will include being a movie critic, songwriter, television scriptwriter, video/board game producer, journalist, and other occupations. These projects will eventually be open for suggestions as the school year develops. The only requirements are that it is a profession and your project makes a connection to the literary themes we are currently studying.
BI-WEEKLY ESSAY
The Bi-weekly Essay will encompass all aspects of composition including descriptive, narrative, expository, persuasive, research paper, experimental, and other forms of writing.
Each week the instructor will give emphasis to one of the particular aspects of composition with the intention of it to be the required style for that Bi-weekly Essay.
Essay Specifications: All essays are to be written on a word processor with Times New Roman font size twelve. It is also to be double-spaced and justified. |
