| Q: "How Long Have You Been A DJ? A: I started in March of 1979 at KLUR-FM in Wichita Falls, Texas. Since then I've bounced around a lot (you have to do that in this business) before landing in Abilene about six years ago. |
| Q: "How Do You Get Into The Business"? A: It varies a lot but most DJ's start out in part-time or intern positions where they learn the basics and, if they hang in there, they can fill a full-time position when one becomes available. More often, they'll apply at other radio stations for a full time spot. After that, it can be a wild ride as you move from one job to another, gaining experience and, hopefully, landing a program director's job! |
