Easy Lunch Ideas for Kids

Pat-a-pizzas
~ 1 can Pillsbury refrigerated biscuit dough                     ~ Pizza or spaghetti sauce
~ Mozzarella cheese                                                      ~ Pizza toppings
On an ungreased cookie sheet, press biscuits flat.  Spread with Pizza sauce and cheese, as well as any other toppings you wish.  Bake according to biscuit package directions.

Tuna Casserole
We add a drained can of tuna and some peas to Kraft Dinner (or equivalent).

Quick Stew
Easy, easy, easy ...  serve  a can of Dinty Moore Beef Stew over cooked egg noodles.

Easy Seafood Alfredo
~Lipton Alfredo Noodles and Sauce                      ~Louis Kemp Seafood Chunks
~Sprinkle of Old Bay
Prepare noodles according to package and add seafood and old bay.  For the adult variation (dinner, when dh is home), I use real crab meat and those tiny salad shrimps in place of the seafood chunks.

Tartar Sauce
Have your kids make the tartar sauce with a squirt or mustard, squirt of mayo, and a glob of pickle relish.  Serve with fish sticks, fish cakes or their favourite fish dish.

Octopus Dogs
We cut hot dogs in eight strips lengthwise, leaving about an inch intact at one end.  When you drop them in boiling water, the "legs" curl up, making a hot dog octopus.  They were served with sauerkraut "sea weed".

Wiener Wraps
Cut hot dogs into thirds, wrap them in store bought biscuit dough and bake according to biscuits instructions.  You can put a small piece of cheese in them too.

Celery Fun
Peanut Butter and raisins on crackers or celery.

Mini Pizzas
English muffin, pizza or spaghetti sauce, cheese and any other thing they might like on their pizza.  Bake in oven until cheese is melted.

Make Your Own Sandwich.
Lay out a 'buffet' of sandwich fixings.  Let your child also pick out a shape to cut the sandwich into.(I use cookie cutters and various shape objects around the house to make special toddler sized and fun sandwiches).

Apple  & Banana Fun
Let your child dip pieces of apple and banana in peanut butter... messy but nutritious and fun.
