This is my pick for game of the week.  In my opinion, this is the best rushing attack in the country against the best rushing D.  I feel that this will be neutralized.  It will be an average rushing day for the Hokies, as opposed to the 320 yards last week.  Maybe about 160-200 yards.  The deciding factor, in my opinion will show up when the Aggies have the ball.  I don't think they have enough power to move the ball against this defense.  Special teams could also be a factor.  Here's a great chance for VT to make a statement.  With a big win here, the Hokies could start getting some serious BCS consideration.

Best current running team vs. one of the best young teams in the nation.  The qustion on this game will be can Bryan Randall use his feet to win this game.  If not, then his team will be skunked.  Thank goodness he'll use his natural ability and get the hell outta dodge with the Ag's come full speed at his ass.  Lee Suggs and Kevin Jones will combine for 250 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns and hopefully we'll get to see Reggie McNeal a little bit...but we won't.  GOOD LUCK VT!  Represent!

Very intriguing.  We all know by now how good Tech's backfield is (the best), how good their special teams are (probably the best), and how stingy their D is (quite stingy, indeed).  However A&M has a great D of their own, and they'll force Bryan Randall to throw the ball.  Whichever team falls behind will have loads of trouble catching up.  It says here that team will be A&M.

This was one of my preseason top-20 games of the year.  It still is.  This game is so humongous, I might crap my pants.  Are the Gators really that much worse this year?  Is Tennessee a legitimate top-5 team?  Can Florida shake their weak start?  Can Washington back up that mouth in a big game?  The future???  Who nicknames themself???  What a tool.  I hope he gets knocked out of the game.  Anyway, I'd say this game has at least 5 future NFL stars.  This is one of those "would be on ESPN classic had it been later in the season" games.  Anyway, I've thought all year that Florida is the best in the SEC, but I just don't trust them right now.

Rex Grossman showed what he can do when under pressure....nothing.  But we all saw what he can do when not under pressure all last year.  This year game will build his confidence cuz Tenn will not put nearly as much pressure on the QB  as they would have last year and as Miami did this year.  Good luck Tennessee..If casey can get their passing game to work for them like they have in the past, everyting will be great.  close game all around and a greaet defense game by both.

The Gators have been less than impressive under new head coach Ron Zook, and Neyland Stadium is not the place to look less than impressive.  The Vols haven't had a real test yet, but they look solid.  Florida knows their backs are already against the wall, but I just think Tennessee's blitzkrieg will force Grossman into mistakes often enough to get a big-ass win.

USC (11), (11) at Kansas State (25), (23

Perhaps we're all blinded by our mistrust towards USC.  It's gonna happen.  We just don't know when.  They are going to get embarrassed soon.  One thing I really want to see: that Kansas State HB, Sproles.  I used him in NCAA, and if he's really as untouchable as the game makes him seem, he could be the difference between a good team and a great team.  He's so quick and shifty, from some highlights that I've seen, but can he do this against a top-tier team (that's right, USC is now top tier....they just have games where they don't show up every year).  This game is a chance for some players to get some serious consideration when it comes awards time.  Polamalulomala, both QBs, and Super-Sproles..Sprole out!  This game....so good!  Why is Kansas State making a run for the best Big XII team?  What happened?  Why is USC becoming a top 5 team?  So good.  Like Bone.

*note- this is G's analysis after Phil told him the game was K-State - USC.  We laughed good at this:
USC vs Kent State......
34 - 007
unbelievable....this is a waste of my time...usc wins this one....ok?  sheez

I previously wrote that South Carolina was "the other USC."  I apologize, because they were first.  This USC is just Southern Cal.  Anyway, are they for real?  It's hard to pick them in Manhattan (Kansas), but I will, despite never trusting them.  This will further show how overrated the Big 12 was coming into this season.  Who'da thunk it?
