| Louisville (46), (42) at Colorado State (24), (U) (Joe's Pick) Final Score: Colorado State, 36-33 GUEST SAGE ARUN: Louisville, 24-17 9.2 points Harmon: Colorado State, 21-20 16.6 points CFN: Colorado State, 20-17 16.8 points Joe: Louisville, 31-17 7.8 points After how high I've been on CSU, this pick might look weird. I think Colorado State is a borderline team. I think Louisville is definitely ranking-worthy, if they get things together. I think they just didn't show up for the opener against Kentucky. Dave Rigatone gets his chance to redeem himself against a defense that held Colorado to 14 points. This is the most uncomfortable I've been about a pick thus far, by the way. I may get penalized for doubting the Ram (both CSU and Arun). G: Colorado State, 24-17 16.0 points I guess i see how this could be a matchup.... but it won't be. Ragone, i love you, but maybe next year. Cecil is heisman leader in my eyes right now....he will play likeit again this week and lead his team to victory. Ragone will score two td's in the 4th quarter, this game will not be as close as it seems. Phil: Colorado State, 30-23 17.2 points Unfortunate that both these teams have lost already. BCS dreams almost gone. This will kill one team's for sure. I know it goes against what I thought at the beginning of the year, but now I've actually seen teams play, so... Iowa State at Iowa (Phil's Pick) Final Score: Iowa State, 36-31 GUEST SAGE ARUN: Iowa, 21-10 6.6 points Harmon: Iowa, 22-13 7.6 points CFN: Iowa State, 24-20 17.8 points Joe: Iowa State, 31-14 14.2 points What a fun matchup. Bonus points for a.) being a state-rivalry and b.) being played in the underdog's turf. If this game is at Iowa State, I give them the nod immediately. "So what? It's in the same state. How much can home advantage matter, Joe?" Think about our games. Do you think if there was a Maryland State, more MD St. fans would buy tickets than our students would take free tickets? It really is a big think in college FB. Another reason I like this pick is because I'd like to comment that NCAA 2003 (or whatever the name of that game is) has Seneca Wallace horribly under-rated. I always want to be Iowa State, but he always throws the ball behind receivers, and he's not even fast at all! I think the guy who named the players had some kind of grudge against Seneca "Joesdaddy" Wallace. Anyway, Iowa squeaked by Miami of Ohio, who barely beat UNC after 9 (!) turnovers, while Iowa State came one yard away from bringing FSU into overtime 2 weeks ago. G: Iowa State, 34-21 16.4 points who cares about this game. Is Tim Dwight playing? no? is Kurt Warner playing? NO?!?! screw this....barnstormers will win. Seneca Wallace finsih what you started wit FSU dawg. I got faith in you Phil: Iowa State, 21-16 17.0 points Well, it's in Iowa. The Cyclones are the superior team, but you never know in a rivalry game. The Hawkeyes look strong early. I still think Mr. Wallace (If you don't know, ax somebody) will lead 'em to a victory. USC at Colorado (Phil's Pick) Final Score: USC, 40-3 GUEST SAGE ARUN: Colorado, 27-17 0.8 points Harmon: Colorado, 25-20 2.2 points CFN: USC, 27-24 9.0 points Joe: Colorado, 35-21 -1.6 points You think Colorado is happy where they're sitting? 5th place in the Big XII North with a 1-1 record. This after starting the season ranked in the top 10. I think they just might take it out on the overrated Trojans. I don't care what happened two weeks ago. Colorado has one of the most explosive backfields in the country. USC (both of them, for that matter...South Carolina and Southern California), are teams that I always look at and think "why are they still here?". It got to the point that I was genuinely angry that South Carolina was ranked over us at one point last year. Anyway, I'm saying a lot of general things since I don't know too many players on these teams. G: Colorado, 20-14 1.2 points Colorado may be without Marcus Houston...thas not good...but they have millions of either rb's. Well, my two least favorite conferences, big 12 and pac-10. both of these teams should die and kill each other. but hopefully they wont. hopefully colorado kills them but they only score 20 points so i get a good score for this weak. USC? who cares what they do. Carson 'Daly' Palmer can retire for all I care. Phil: Colorado, 27-17 0.8 points Errr....this game should be good but I just don't know. I think the Buffs will comeback hard, and I'll never trust USC, thus... next |
