| Texas (3), (3) at North Carolina (G's Pick): Final Score: Texas, 52-21 GUEST SAGE ARUN: Texas, 35-17 14.0 points Harmon: Texas, 28-13 12.0 points CFN: Texas, 38-24 13.8 points Joe: Texas, 31-9 14.0 points The Longhorns shut out North Texas. That gives me about 0 insight into this game. I would think their defense can hold North Carolina to single digit points, but I don't know. North Texas then shut out a school I've never heard of. If they're serious about making a BCS run, they can't let UNC do too much against them. If Chris Simms is serious about a Heisman candidacy, he'd better show up. Thankfully, the Heels cut down on those turnovers against Syracuse, and it paid off. This'll give this game more credibility, that Texas hit them after they solved that little problem. My closing thoughts on this are inspired by the UNC-Syracuse game: wouldn't it be sweet as hell if we played in a dome? We could get that thing loud as balls with the amount of fans that are showing up (sold out both games so far, if I've been well informed). G: Texas, 38-14 15.8 points Texas had one of the top recruiting classes of last year...and they're not playing many of their rookies if any at all. UNC is led by an indecisive qb. and I'm talking on and off the field kinda indecisive. He better decide if he wants an open casket or a closed casket cuz this Texas D is taking no prisoners. The heels need great play from their RB's, willie parker and Andre Williams, if they wanna do anything against anyone. They are the key to this all. Darian can move in and out of the pocket, not as well as Curry could, but still he has a much better arm than curry had. Michael Waddell is going to have show Simms who's boss around this parts. Big daddy Mack, welcome back to UNC...until the game starts, then it's going to be hell for a while cuz they're going to boo you every time you guys make a big play....get ready for a lot of booing folks. Good luck Heels, I'm cheerin for ya! Phil: Texas, 42-27 14.8 points Return of the Mack...Mack Brown, that is! He used to coach the Tar Heels, so take that, Mark Morrison! "(You're lyin' to me...) You know the Longhorns got weapons (you're lyin' to me), yes you do...yes you do... (you're lyin' to me) North Carolina just might win (you're lyin' to me), or they might play like doo doo doo." Georgia (10), (9) at South Carolina (Joe's Pick): Final Score: Georgia, 13-7 GUEST SAGE ARUN: Georgia, 27-14 15.8 points Harmon: South Carolina, 24-23 10.2 points CFN: Georgia, 20-14 18.6 points Joe: Georgia, 35-17 13.2 points Jowjah!! D.J. Shockley, their freshman ? QB supposedly is going to play "at least a few snaps". I want to see this, because Kris is Jowjah in our dynasy league, and he leads his team to blowouts through the air, even against good teams. Anyway, Shockley, not to confused with D.J. Hughley, is supposedly an excellent running quarterback. I think the future of this program could have a lot to do with Shockley and vice versa. Look for South Carolina to drop out for good here. Stupid SCs...always hanging around, when the door is open and the other teams are making out. Take a hint. G: South Carolina, 28-25 9.0 points lou holtz is the f'n man. ND misses him now. but Lou, go easy on the bulldogs. ....i dunno why, but just do it. Who do these two teams have as a standout player? I can't thinkof one. I dunno too many players period, but still...yah, lou, make it happen dawg! Phil: South Carolina, 24-21 9.8 points The Gamecocks did lose to Virginia, but they're better than that. Georgia may be overrated. A battle of two not-quite-heavyweights. The other USC gets a win. |
