September 9th,Detroit,Mi

A great day was had by all, especially with the beautiful weather we had.
Cindy and I and Pete followed Karen and her crew to the venue which I think was called Farmington Hills. It was actually a nice place to see a concert.
There certainly wasn't very many people attending it!
We all met up with Robin and Janice and Ron and stood right down in front of the stage while we waited for John. I can't remember the set list, but I
believe "BACK ON MY FEET AGAIN" was the opening song. John came out with this black suit (must have been fairly hot) 3/4 length jacket. He looked
great, his hair was growing, this includes his face as well! I think it's cute (just my 2 cents).
We had some excitement in front of us - a guy was trying to butt in the front row between two other fans. (Who in turn squished him back to where
he belonged) Quite comical! I do remember that Roadhouse Blues was the encore and I kept thinking that it went on forever. I like The Doors, but
the sound quality at the venue wasn't that great and I just wanted to skip right to the meet and greet!
Once we got back to see John, I was really surprised at how relaxed and friendly everyone was. It was really nice. John wore those black trousers
with a white tuxedo shirt as usual. (I'm beginning to hate those pants). Jeans, John, jeans!!!!
John was laughing and joking with Pete - I can't remember what they were talking about. Probably England - we want to go for our 10th anniversary so
they might have been talking about the "hot spots". Pete always jokes that if he has to go to another JW concert, he's going to buy him a ticket back
to England. But don't let him fool you! He's got all the Babys and some of John's solo stuff. And I caught him jamming a time or two at the concerts
that we go to! :) Anyway, we all took pictures and went out to eat with Brian and Lisa, Robin
and Janice and a friend of theirs. It was really a great time with lots of
great company!
