Commentary - Strip 27

Debriefing is a very important part of patient clerking. It helps fellow medical students to share the experience of the conversation they had with the patient, to in a sense unburden themselves from the plight of many of these patients. It is also a learning experience for the party listening. We often talk about the patients we seen, highlighting certain oddities or rarities of the case. All these of course is done confidentially. Less ethically correct unfortunately, are the times when we simply joke about the patients we see.
