Commentary - Strip 49

Commentaries are getting increasingly difficult to write. Not to mention painful. This is such a bad idea. Why on earth did I even think of adding this section in the first place? The things we do a long time ago only to hate it now. Anyhow, here's my 2 cents on today's piece - gynaecomastia refers to the growth of breast tissue in men as seen in liver failure patients due to the inability of the cirrhotic hepatic tissue to breakdown the small amounts of natural oestrogen that men produces. This female hormone then builds up and leads to the feminization of the patient. The diuretic drug spironolactone have this effect too, through some other mechanism that I'm not sure of.
