On August 31, 2001, I drove from Sterling, Virginia to
Iselin, New Jersey. Instead of taking Interstate 95 and the New Jersey
Turnpike, I drove on U.S. Highway 1 for as much of the trip as possible. I
stopped every ten miles to take a picture. Why? No good reason.
