Between Bel Air and the state line, Highway 1 through
Maryland is a very
rural two-lane road. Once you enter Pennsylvania, though, it becomes a four-
lane limited access expressway. And the quality of the road surface drops
precipitously, I might add. Generally speaking, Highway 1 is a more
interesting road in Maryland than in Pennsylvania. I didn't see any nice
barns like this one in Maryland though, so there you go.
