December 30, 2001 - In a startling development, I received a digital camera for Christmas... This could mark the beginning of a new era for me, in terms of digital content, as it obviously provides me an infinite resource of content, as mundane and monotonous as it might turn out to be... So, check in frequently, as I now have the ability to capture every moment of my life and provide it to you, the public, at low cost...

October 28th, 2001 - ATTENTION!!! ATTENTION!!! I have finally conquered Dune 2000, a game that I have devoted every free second of my life to over the course of the last month. Details here...

October 16th, 2001 - Horrible of me to go this long without changing the front page, but school has taken over. But, with a couple midterms behind me, I figured I would at least put a new pretty picture on the front page here... School related, of course...

September 16th, 2001 - The nation has been dealt a devastating blow, a blow that has united us like never before in my own lifetime. Like so many others across the country, the events of the last week have roused my patriotism. Here are my thoughts.

August 13th, 2001 - Melquist and I just returned from our vacation, and I have prepared a multimediate synopsis of our misadventures...  Click here to see and read more...

I am John Duffy Borchert, and this is my first crappy commercial web page.  I live in Minneapolis, the most fabulous city in the midwest, give or take Chicago.  I am a Computer Engineering senior at the University of Minnesota, and I work there as a computer technician.

I divert myself by spending time with the
better half, playing CCGs, computer games, and tennis.  I also like to ride my bike and go to the beach and take computers apart.  I pay considerable attention to professional sports, more than I should, and I also like to read books, but I don't do it nearly as often as I should.

This web page is primarily going up because I no longer have an ISP that gives me web space.  In the past, I have had a couple of web sites, the first one hosting a number of my
literary works and philosophical meanderings, and the second one hosting the page for my fantasy football league.  I hope to incorporate both of those in this incarnation, but we will see.

Life is short, and one certainly can't spend hours and hours maintaining a website that five or six people might see.  So, expect out of date content, expect broken links, expect the worst, really, because this is mostly for me...
