Princeton University gave John Cook an experience that shaped his  self concept.  Could John have imagined that he would attend such  institutions as  St. Paul's or Princeton when he had never even heard of a prep school or The Ivy League?

Mission Statement:
The concept of Educational Excellence, EE, was the result of an analysis of the average person of today's desire to receive a formal education.  People in general lack personal insight, an accurate assessment of their own strengths and areas needing development, as well as how to begin the self-education process.  EE's mission is to provide a structured platform for self-education as well as provide a spiritual awareness technique to be utilized in the process of self-education.  A major emphasis of this organization's focus is diversity.  All people are a part of a growing multi-cultural world.  Consequently, our awareness and acceptance of diversity is obligatory.

Vision and Overview of Educational Excellence:  Living in our modern world requires more skill and knowledge of oneself than has ever been required by members of societies of the earlier times and generations.  Today, there are more obstacles and traps, especially those that people often create and set for themselves.  We can find ourselves "stuck in a rut" in our own lives and discover ourselves wondering how we got to such a point without really knowing and being aware of the walls closing in on us!  The challenge, of course, is to find our way back to our true selves and a state of being with which we are comfortable.  This is the goal of Mr. John I. Cook, a rare breed of motivational speaker.

There are many topics and issues that challenge us to 1) grow and discover our "true" selves, 2) recognize our capacity, and 3) identify our own strengths and areas needing improvement and development rather than having them pointed out to us by someone else!  In addition, nowadays, stress and lack of self-awareness plague us all.  This is when most of us fall short of our own dreams and desires and, consequently, fall prey to the traps. Then, unexpected challenges enter our lives.  How do we get them out of our lives once we have allowed them to enter and have been able to acknowledge their presence in our lives?

Let's examine a few of Educational Excellence's platforms for motivational sessions and self development

1.  Learn to enjoy life and stay close to your family and selected friends by:
        a)  developing good living habits and a successful lifestyle.
        b)  keeping life sustaining values important in one's life.

2.  Harness that "life giving energy" that surrounds us.  It is very critical today.
        a)  do exercise, practice yoga, meditate, and relax regularly.
        b)   be involved in spiritual programs, communing with society and nature.

3.   Accept change and challenges as part of life, especially your
own life!
        a)   develop the questioning and challenging instinct inherent in humans.
        b)   change those things about yourself first and then try to change society second, if and when you can.

4.    Learn how to interact with diverse types of people, ethnic groups, and cultures.
        a)   be open to learn about other people and to share more about yourself.

5.    Seek help when needed.  This is paramount.  Don't just lie down and die!
        a)   acknowledge that one (you) may need help!
        b)   ask for advice and help in the "right places"!
        c)   accept the advice and suggestions to change oneself!

"Be yourself, because you ARE you!!!!!"
