BassFest 2005 was extended to 5 days, to allow more time for fishing, and shorten the daily mileage. The Bed & Breakfast was also expanded to include two more bathrooms. |

The group this year consisted of 8 guys; Chris Werner, Jim Thum, Robert Van Egmond, Herb Kirchem, Keith Pagel, Paul Kauffman, and new to BassFest, Don MacNicoll, Oree Williams. |

Oree decided to brave the river in his new mini-cat boat, but the river had other plans. Herb also braved the river in his little �Fish Hunter� raft. After some adjustments and a swim, he was able to finish the river in it. With the small boat problems, we decided to put a 12� minimum on BassFest river craft for the future. |

Great food, nice sunny weather, beautiful campsites, and plenty of fish! Herb Kirchem repeated his win, walking away with the trophy this year thanks to 16 counters. Don MacNicoll won the �catch of the day� with a 17 �� bass on the first day, setting the bar high enough to hold the record for the whole trip. |
