What is the John Day BASSFEST?
BASSFEST, as it is affectionatly known, is an Annual Smallmouth Bass fishing tournament held during the month of June on the John Day River of Oregon. The week-long event draws only the best smallmouth fishermen from around the country to participate in the daunting adventure. They must match wits against the most cunning and worthy opponent, while at the same time navigating a wild and treacherous river. Surviving, only by their vast knowledge of the outdoors, boundless creativity and sheer will, they endure all that Mother Nature can send their way. All in the search for, nay, quest of, their elusive prey. |
