Doodle Spirit Our Story
Here is a little about me and my life:

I was a Montessori teacher of young children for 19 years in Oklahoma City. This experience gave me a great chance to learn...to be...to grow. It left me with an incredible sense of spontaneity and wonder for the world.

From there I created an organic farm based on the idea of growing soil...for if you grow great soil, you can grow anything well in it. I call it growing soil with soul. I used earthworms and grew up to 1200 pounds of the richest soil each month from other peoples throw away organic trash. My gardens were built in spirals and I practiced permaculture techniques...it was beautiful. I would go and eat directly from my gardens and receive light power energy from the vegetables. Do you know of Finhorn ? My gardens approached their grandness.

At this farm I experimented with different building techniques and built a house from scratch without any plans...just bought and found materials and put them together in Organic Doodle fashion. I also built a small structure with straw bales. With each of these I just did the most important thing to do next and did it the best way I could, then I followed with the next step.

This philosophy had been developing in me from a process I created with the children I taught. In art one day we decided the drawings "were in the pens." We just picked one up and made a mark with it and then picked up the next one that "called" to us. We worked with 3x5 cards and nice art markers. The results were outstanding. I had 5 year olds creating international Jungian symbols on their first doodles...every design was outstandingly beautiful when the process was accepted. The short of the long story I realized was that "Within each of us is an inner aesthetic, a natural sense of beauty, order and design...When we believe the drawings are in the pens, we bypass our conscious minds and free our inner aesthetic." I began calling these drawings "Aesthetic Fingerprints" and it developed into a way of drawing, building (which is just one stick after another), gardening (the idea for the garden is inside the plants, inside of me), and really any activity of life. I call it Organic Doodling because it is so based in our natural being.

Last year I had the opportunity to sell the farm and begin a new building process in Medicine Park, Oklahoma. I found a building that called to me "I'm the Doodle Art Museum of the World". It was four cobblestone walls, 16x20 feet with a shabby roof, originally built in about 1920. After returning to my farm I put out what I call my Spiritual "Want-ads". I asked for the resources to make this happen. Three days later a woman visited my farm and asked if I would sell it to her. She said she had been envisioning my farm for the last five years in her head. I sold it to her and am presently in construction of The Temple of Joy Organic Living and Meditation Center in Medicine Park...built doodle style. It will also house the New Moon Rising Gift Shoppe...featuring gifts for the imagination.

My other interest currently is making documentary films on these processes and on nature....a series entitled We Are All One...We Are One With Nature.
