![]() The project in Medicine Park began in the spring of 2002. I had visited this small town in s.w. Oklahoma, nestled in the Wichita Mountains with many small cottages made out cobblestones (round stones claimed to be some of the oldest rocks in North America), and had found a run down cobblestone cottage for sale...It spoke to me, "I could be the Doodle Art Museum of the world." I fell in love with the concept and proceeded to see if I could make it happen. A year and a half later I am deep in the work of doodling this project...A film about its history and full story will be available in May 2003. It is called "The Temple of Joy Organic Living and Meditation Center" and will house the New Moon Rising Gift Shoppe, which plans to be open by May 2003. We will sell "Gifts for the Imagination" and bake and sell Cobblescones.TM Keep in touch for updates next year.
Medicine Park Original
![]() Found this building in this shape in late spring, 2001...It spoke to me as the Doodle Art Museum of the world...I fell in love with it and proceeded to raise the money to buy it. Medicine Park Southeast View ![]() And this is the building in fall, 2002... The entire building has been done with the Doodle Philosophy. This is a three dimensional doodle built without plans... Medicine Park East Side ![]() This is a little doodle work on the side and with glass block...notice that around the window all the corners are finished differently...doodling is an interesting process. Stained Glass ![]() Stained Glass is so beautiful...this old glass has seen a lot of light...it is here to bring lots of beautiful light to this place and the people...always have some interesting glass in your living space. West Side ![]() You can see the two stainglass windows here that serve as "eyes" to the building...the third floor is a greenhouse area that I hope to grow orchids in. This third floor was like converting an attic to a greenhouse before it was enclosed as an attic. Doodle Map ![]() |
