| John S. Tucker and his wife Agnes (photo) arrived in Texas soon after it was joined the United States. They settled in the Peter's Colony, near what is today Dallas. Their son George Tucker (photo) married Tansey Chenault, daughter of Wesley Chenault (link to Chenault page) George and Tansey's oldest son, Joseph C. Tucker married Virginia Beaver, said to be of Cherokee descent. Joseph and Virginia moved to Wichita Falls between 1910 and 1920. Descendants of John S. Tucker and Agnes McNew Generation No. 1 1. JOHN S. TUCKER was born 1805 in North Carolina or Maryland. He married AGNES MCNEW in Missouri. She was born December 11, 1811 in Virginia, and died August 1894 in Dallas, Texas. Children of JOHN TUCKER and AGNES MCNEW are: i. RODY A TUCKER, b. 1835, Missouri. ii. JOHN J, b. 1838, Missouri. iii. JULIET TUCKER, b. 1841, Missouri. iv. VICTORIA TUCKER, b. 1845, Missouri. 2. v. GEORGE TUCKER, b. April 28, 1848, Texas; d. December 09, 1921, Texas. vi. HENRY TUCKER, b. Abt. 1851; d. Abt. 1870, White Rock Lake, TX. vii. ELIZABETH TUCKER, b. Abt. 1853, Texas. Generation No. 2 2. GEORGE TUCKER (JOHN S.) was born April 28, 1848 in Texas, and died December 09, 1921 in Texas. He married (1) TANSEY CHENAULT 1871, daughter of WESLEY CHENAULT and ELIZABETH HATFIELD. She was born 1858 in Texas, and died Abt. 1902 in Dallas, Texas. He married (2) JENNY CADY Abt. 1903. She was born Abt. 1882, and died 1984. Children of GEORGE TUCKER and TANSEY CHENAULT are: (photo 1, photo 2) i. JOSEPH C. TUCKER, b. June 10, 1872, Texas; d. September 22, 1937, Wichita Falls, TX. ii. HENRY TUCKER, b. Abt. 1872. iii. SARAH E TUCKER, b. Abt. 1876. iv. ALEXANDER TUCKER, b. Abt. 1877. v. AUGUSTUS TUCKER, b.
