| Van Alstyne - Graveside services for Frances Ruth Davis, 77-year-old Van Alstune resident, will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday, Nov. 22 in Van Alstyne Cemetery. She died Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, at her residence. Bro. Bob Layman will officiate. Mrs. Davis was born on Aug. 31, 1923, in Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of Claud Arch Tucker and Beulah Maude Slaughter Tucker. In 1975, she married Homer Davis in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was general ledger for Parker Square State Bank in Wichita Falls for 25 years. She was also employed at the Van Alstyne Leader newspaper for several years. She was a Baptist. Surviving are her husband, Homer Davis of Van Alstyne; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Mary Goff of Sherman; Daughter, Donna Bywaters of Clear Lake, Texas; sister Norma Barnett of Crosby, Texas; five grandchildren, Keith Goff, Kelly Mosley, Jill, Jennifer and Jodie Zadrozny; and three great-grandchildren, Hailey, Dylan and Tyler Goff. Flesher Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements. |
