Master of Science - Telecommunications Management
Oklahoma State University; Stillwater, OK
December 2000

The MSTM degree is a combination of business and networking management that prepares the student for various aspects of managing people and technology in the telecommunications industry. It is informally described as a "technical MBA". Graduated in less than two years, maintained a 3.91 GPA (all A's except one B) and managed a full time job and a family of 5 children. Half-way through the degree, moved from Oklahoma to Minnesota and started a new career in IT without missing a class. Instead of writing a thesis, chose to do a practicum based on a major project that was managed at Seagate. Wrote all class term papers for class teams.
