Overview of the Russian Orphan Problem More than a decade after the fall of the Soviet Union, Russia finds itself with an estimated two million children living on the streets or in orphanages. The statistics released by the Russian government show that the outlook for these children is bleak.
Our goal is to provide much needed supplies and assistance. It is easy for you to help, and it will make a world of difference in the lives of these children.

During the summer of 2004, I spent
six weeks living with 64 children in a rural Russian orphanage.
They ranged in age from 5 - 17. The majority of the children were social
orphans, taken away from their parents due to abuse and neglect.
Throughout the summer, I learned a lot about these kids. Their stories
inspired me to help them. I hope they inspire you to do the same.
