Kikyou-Chan
Episode 43: Broken Tessaiga at Last
Spoiler
The episode opens with Kikyou, whom is caring for a group of wounded villagers. She feels the eerie presence of Naraku nearby, which leads her out into the forest to see what exactly it is that he was doing there. Clothed in his white baboon suit, Naraku laughs as he just so happens to mention to Kikyou that Inuyasha is close to death because of the large amount of Shikon No Kakera she had previously given him.
Inuyasha is still holed up inside the hut, his injuries from having the Kaze No Kizu reflected back on him were still very severe. While Naraku had gained much power from the Shikon No Kakera, Inuyasha still didn't want to believe that his beloved Kikyou had given them to him. Shippou went into the hut to check on him, also making note of how Sango was also injured after she was hit with her own weapon. The young fox youkai soon left to fetch some water, when six familiar figures suddenly appeared to Inuyasha.
Kikyou's Shinidamachuu...
Forcing himself out of the hut and using Tessaiga as a crutch, Inuyasha went out to the edge of the forest to meet with Kikyou. She appears to him from the branch of a tree, and is extremely pleased to see that Inuyasha is only injured, and not dead. He is however angry, and wants to know if she really gave the Shikon No Kakera to Naraku, and what she plans to do. Kikyou admitted to handing Naraku the Kakera, however she planned to use it to destroy him. Not completely convinced, Inuyasha retorted that she had intended to have him killed by handing the Shikon No Kakera over to Naraku.
Kagura, whom had been watching nearby was getting bored watching the parted lovers and deemed the time was right to attack. She however learned, that this miko sensed her and it wasn't wise to test the master archer in her skill. Kagura soon left the two alone, and Inuyasha expectantly awaited an answer. Kikyou merely replied, "Do not get killed Inuyasha. Until I have destroyed Naraku, and the Shikon No Tama... your life belongs to me. I will never give it to anyone else." She then disappeared leaving the injured hanyou to his own devices to get back to the hut.
Upon returning, Kagome ran with Miroku and Shippou to find Inuyasha. Off in
the distance, he is walking towards the trio using Tessaiga as a crutch.
Collapsing on the ground, Kagome falls to her knees beside Inuyasha
making sure that he is indeed alright. The look on his face however, tells
Kagome that he has just seen Kikyou. The silence between the group is
deafening, and Miroku breaks the silence by asking Inuyasha if he did in fact
find out that Kikyou had handed over Kagome's Shikon no Kakera over to Naraku.
While he wouldn't deny what Kikyou had done, Inuyasha
continued to defend his love... even as Kagome stomped away with her fists
clenched at her side.
Evening comes, and we see a giant purple youkai by the name
of Goshinki. He is a detachment of Naraku, and has the ability to read minds.
He is seen destroying a nearby village, and devouring all living beings as
orders of Naraku. Kagura is also with him, and sends one of the villagers with
her dance of the dead to bring Inuyasha and his companions out in the open to
battle Goshinki.
