Twice
Monthly Meetings
The whole chapter meets twice monthly (first and third Tuesdays
of each month, 7:30 p.m.) at Grace Covenant Presbyterian
Church, just west of College and Alt. 69 in Overland
Park (view map). Meetings feature
a wide variety of topics important to moms at all stages
of motherhood, guest speakers and social time.
Guests are welcome
to participate in up to 3 activites before joining. Our
regular meetings are held in the evening as a chance for
you to have some adult time for yourself. We do realize
that you may not be ready to leave your infant at home.
Infants up to 4-6 months of age are welcomed at these meetings.

monthly activities include trips to children's museums,
children's theater, local parks and play centers.
Mom's
Night Out
Members meet at local restaurants and other gathering
places for social time and fun.

Groups
Groups are organized according to children's
ages. Most groups meet weekly, rotating among play-group
members' homes.

Meets
monthly at Borders bookstore on 91st & Metcalf.
Seasoned
Moms Group
This fun Seasoned (or Spicy!) Moms Group meets
at least twice each month, during the day, once for lunch
and once for coffee. Times, locations and days of the week
vary, to accommodate the many busy and varied schedules
of members with slightly older kids. We attempt to meet
without our kids, but if that's impossible, bring them along!
Other SM activities have included: movie night with the
kids; happy meals for happy hour - dinner out with the kids;
moms only movie night; play-group for the older kids at
local parks or pools where they can roller blade, skateboard,
ride bikes and/or swim; and make you own pottery during
the day - without the kids! Come join the fun!
New
Moms Group
A group for moms with children under one year
old, including those with older children. This group gathers
with their children for playtime and conversation.
Advocacy
and Volunteerism
The Chapter distributes awards to recognize "family
friendly" companies and businesses in the area, and provides
opportunities to get involved in the community as a group
and as individuals.
