During my senior year at UC Berkeley I finally took the challenge of learning mew media in computer graphics, animation. It initially was intimidating me enough to not want to continue CG art, but after a while I grew to know the program (Maya, a software using three-dimensional space to create polygons and objects after which you can animate). Here are a few stills of some models and finished products from the latest couse, CG Animation Production. In this semester, the class was divided into small teams and assigned to work on 2 to 3 minute movies for the duration of the semester. My roommate, Tracy, and I created a movie about a butterfly and a Columbine flower. I did the modelling and most of the shading for the movie, and we both shared animation, laying out, camera work for the movie. To view the actual movie log onto our art department website :
