Tabletting

During my stay at Liverpool John Moores University I studied the interaction of bile salts and HPMC matix tablets. If you are curious why this is interesting and what the results were, please go here.

Purine receptor ligands

During my stay with Professor Müller in Bonn I did research in the field of purine receptors, especially the adenosine receptor family (P1 receptors). My task was to synthesise novel agonists and antagonists for specific receptor subtypes. Furthermore I developed new pathways towards the gram scale production of adenosine receptor antagonists used as research chemicals. A special focus of my work was the application of microwave irradiation in chemical synthesis. If you would like to know more details, please go here.
