Emurian Empire
By 2200 they felt that they had enough of a resource base to try their hand at a mothership-style design, and this is the result. While it was a decent combatant, it was felt that too many compromises went into the design and that it was too sluggish for the modern battlefield. This is one of their main reasons for prefering to base fighters on carriers. Before 2236, Replace the Heavy Gatling Cannon with a Heavy Laser and gain no extra power
This is a very new design that is intended to replace the Nova in time, but not too soon, since why decommision a good ship? Anyway, this ship is designed along the classic dreadnaught lines: fast, heavily armored, and rows of the big guns. They rejected adding fighters to keep the design pure and focused. Even with the recharge lag of the lasers, the number and arcs allow a good captain to keep up a constant barage, or simply to nail a ship with up to 6 at a time.
I realize the files are a bit big, but I think the print quality will be a lttle higher. If it's not, let me know and I'll try to decrease the size.
This the mainline ship fur Emuria. Based on the Dauntless Hull, it is design to take a beating and dish out it's share of punishment. It also has the range for patrol. A common ship, but not the most common beacuase it is still expensive to operate.
This is a smaller capital ship suited to escort duties. It posses a large suite of light weapons but very little for heavy weapons.
This is a medium sized capital ship, heavier than the Dunshev but not as well as the Alshar. It is designed to have a little of everything: ballistics, long-ranged lasers, matter structure-eaters, light guns, and a flight of fighters. It doesn't do any one thing well, but it does several decently. It is a fairly comon ship. The B variant was introduced after the Heavy Gatling Cannon proved to be expensive to operate, and replaces it wth a cheaper plasma cannon.
Medium Lasers, Matter Cannons, and Plasma Beams are relatively freely swapped. It is fairly common to see one weapon relaced with another, and they all have similar point cost.
Designed in reaction to the Fearless, is smaller and faster, though armed lighter. The typical complaint is the recharge time of the lasers, but no design is perfect.
A much older design, it has witnessed the introduction of almost every modern technology, including artificial gravity. The basic ship packs a decent punch, and it is the basis for many other ships.
