I have taught sixth, seventh and eighth grade classes for 20 years, and have coached the Debate team for 10 years.During the course of my career, I have enjoyed many roles including coaching Forensic teams and field hockey teams, coordinating Environmental Education Courses at Myrick Conservation Center as well as field trips for seventh grade . I have taught sixth grade AT, reading at the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade levels, seventh and eighth grade language arts, and seventh grade social studies.I have taken some of the summer courses offered by West Chester University, Penn State Great Valley, Millersville University, and the Chester County Intermediate Unit. These include, most recently, Spanish and working with the Internet. I'm anxious to put into practice with my class, what I have learned this summer.
"Welcome to my web!" (page)
"Who said this?"
"Ms. Orbon, that's who."
Currently I am the 7th grade language arts teacher who wants students to access this web page often when you are at home or away from school for a day or two. I have been teaching for a veerrry long time and have been working on these computer web pages for only the last 2 weeks, so it's all new. I love to read about science, and archaeology, and photography. Well, I love to read everything ,but I only practice some of the things about which I read. If you need to speak to me during this school year, find me in room 11 often, or call 610-4441918 between 7 and 9 pm Monday through Thurs...Or send e-mail to [email protected]

How I Will Use the Internet in my Classroom
This web page will be a starting point for using the Internet in my classroom. With the web sites that the children will need to complete the lessons already marked with hypertext, the children can click and go without having to find for themselves sites appropriate to the unit. I hope this will be a kind of introduction to their Internet usage in my classroom. Later with guidance, I hope they will be able to search the Internet and find some sites of their own to find information for themselves on other topics.
