Looking down the main road through the site.  This picture was taken (like all of the pictures in this gallery) in May or June of 1982, when my time there was almost over.  When I arrived there in June of 1981, none of the roads were paved, and they were lined with large rocks painted yellow.  I think the paving was done around September 1981.  The site headquarters is the first building visible on the left.  The yellowish building on the right with the red "stripe" going around it is the "Consolidated Open Mess" (the base bar), where a lot of the people stationed at Rockville spent a lot of their time.
