TRED 701: Enhancing Teaching Through Technology

Technology Resources Scavenger Hunt

Description of the Project:

A series of questions designed to acquaint teachers with technology resources at their schools. It is also intended to encourage teachers to be advocates, providing clues as to what resources may be worthwhile to lobby for.

My Scavenger Hunt...

...is based on T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, VA. I do not presently work in a school, but I will be a student teacher at this school in 2001 and it is my neighborhood high school. Click here to see it…

Applicable ISTE Standards:

Standard II: Planning and Designing Learning Environments and Experiences: The Scavenger Hunt provides useful information about what resources are available so that teachers may incorporate them into the learning environment.

Standard V: Productivity and Professional Practice: Decisions regarding use of technology in support of student learning are made much easier when information is available on availability of resources.

Standard VI: Social, Ethical, and Human Issues: The more information a teacher has about what technology is available, the more likely (s)he is to make that technology available to all students.
