| My sense of humor is a bit off. I thoroughly enjoy British comedy- which is to say very dry humor. I've had the privelage to see Eddie Izzard on stage twice. The first time was in Cleveland, Ohio. It was part of his Sexie Tour. Over the summer, I was able to catch a Sexie 2 Workshop at the Soho Theater in London, England. The second show was obviously a work in progress, as a few things fell flat. It was however, a much smaller theater and he was dressed as a bloke, which surprised me. I was also amazed that he did not take the easy bait and make fun of Americans in his London show. Kudos to him for that. While I was in Europe, Americans were the center of conversation, and not all of it was positive. My best friend, Tim owns a collection of The Young Ones. It's a show worth checking out. |

On the other hand, I am also the person in the crowd full of absolutely appalling knowledge which I find absolutely hilarious. Mike of Holland, Ohio recently told me that post-op transexuals have to insert a device into their vagina daily to 'stretch' it. Odd, Eh? Very soon, I will have a few drinks and feel the need to tell some poor sap all about it. I'm not sure what I find more amusing, the actual knowledge or the reaction of guys. My friends act horrified and laugh about the things I say, but men don't know how to react. They're at a bar trying to pick a hot girl up, and she's talking about felching... |
