There are times when you just can't find the size or the right subject matter or the right subject matter but not the right size. That's when you may need to "Customize" your needs. My paintings range in size from small (8 X 10 inches) to large (6 X 8 feet). Obviously, I don't alsways keep large paintings in inventory. I do, however, create small scale (6 X 9 inches or smaller) "thumb-nail" painting examples for large paintings. This way, I can collaborate with a prospective buyer to get the color and size right for their intended use.
Since display lighting plays such an important role in enhancing an art piece, I pay particular attention to detail concerning the display area of the art piece, the kind of display lighting intended, and I can create a painting specific to those spaces and lighting conditions when necessary.
It's just not enough to be able to "paint a pretty picture" sometimes. A painting is a lot like a child. You raise it the best you can. Give it all you've got and then help it find a place to "Be". But, ultimately , it must be able to stand on its own. The good part is, "it ain't coming back home to live"!
