Once the bassist for La Chicane, Dany set out on a solo career in the early part of the millenium. His first album, Fruit de ma recente nuit blanche had several number one singles and sold over 100,000 copies in Quebec. In 2004, he released his second album, Ecoute-moi donc, which has also sold more than 100,000 copies and has seen 3 singles in the number one spot. In 2005, Dany won the ADISQ award for pop/rock album of the year for Ecoute-moi donc and for male vocalist of the year. In addition to his successful recording career, he also has written for a number of other artists, including La Chicane, Boom Desjardins, Marie-Chantal, Nolwenn, Annie Villeneuve, and Marc Dupre.
