Career Connections is conducted under the auspices of the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center (NwOESC), a service organization dedicated to providing quality educational services to maximize the potential of all students. The services of the NwOESC, including Career Connections, are available to all residents of the northwestern Ohio counties of Defiance, Fulton, Henry, and Williams. The Career Connections program supervisor is John Creis, and the onsite instructor is Phil Stockwell.Our Goals
Our goals are to prepare students to successfully pass the GED and to enter gainful employment. In this process we emphasize academic skills and intersperse job entry skill activities. Students will exit the program with a GED, a resume, interview skills, the ability to write a letter of inquiry, and an overview of several occupations that interest them.Target Population
Our target population are those students ages 16-21 for whom graduation from high school is no longer a reality.
