Before I could mount the radiator, I had to remove the fenders and hood. Once I bolted the radiator in place, I tried to put the fan on the motor. The fan would not work, it was too close to the radiator support and sits too close to the bottom of the radiator. Forget it, it only about 60 degrees out anyway, I'll get an electric fan. Since I now have a radiator and a motor that starts, it's time to go for a ride. This is the first time this truck has moved under its own power since 1986 ( fourteen years).
My first ride in Blue was right after I mounted the radiator. No drivers door, no seat belts, no fenders, no hood, no rear brakes, no running board. It will move under its own power and that is what is important to me.
As you can see in the picture, the fenders, hood, and door are not installed. I did not care, I went for a ride anyway. If any of the Morgan County Sherrif's Police had been around, they would have impounded me and the truck. I did have collision insurance, so they would have let me go, eventually.
A Ford seat is still in the truck, it reaks of mouse urine, it will be reoved very soon. The 60 Chevy rear end is still under the truck and is setting on the original rear springs. The plywood floor of the bed is rotted and will be removed to allow easy access to the rear end.

After I got the first ride out of the way, I put the front sheet metal back on. As you can see, things do not fit real well. The fender is heavily damaged. After looking at several other fenders for sale, I decided to just fix this one. The used ones were pretty rough and I do not really want to spend $600 for a pair of fiberglass fenders.
