| Other images through the years... |
| Images can be milestones, too...memory devices that transport you back to that time, for example, when "a beloved was just a stranger first sighted from across the street," or to "the good old days" when the shoreline was less polluted and the smog-free sky was bluer. Ah, yes, those "photographs and memories..." |
| There's this melancholic line from a half-forgotten poem: "I shall pass this way but once..." Images can be just like one-way journeys, presenting themselves to you but once. After which they become like haunting ghosts that persistently flit in and out of your consciousness, admonishing you for your failure to "freeze that moment in time." |
