After years as a struggling actor, Sanjeev teamed up with musician
Nitin Sawhney in 1994 to form an Asian comedy act called 'Secret Asians'. Their popularity grew and they were discovered by the producer of the multicultural sketch show 'The Real McCoy'., who brought together Sanjeev, Meera, Nina and Kulvinder and 'Goodness Gracious Me' was born. Sanjeev has been equally successful outside GGM starring in British sitcom 'Small Potatoes' and Hollywood blockbuster 'Notting Hill'. More recently he presented a three-part series for Channel 4 on the treatise of love Kama Sutra, entitled 'Position Impossible'.

Rajesh Mirchandani


Rajesh started his journalistic career at Red Dragon FM in Cardiff before moving to London on a 6 month trainee producer scheme at BBC Radio 4. He spent a year working at an ILR radio station and suddenly found himself working on the current affairs programme - 'The World Tonight'. Rajesh then moved to Radio 1 Newsbeat as a producer and was there for a long time until an opportunity came to join Entertainment News.

He was the man who courted controversy in BBC 2's candid conversation talk show 'Caf� 21'. It was the first series of its kind that gave British Asian youth a chance to talk frankly and openly on network television. He has also presented Network East, a number of East programmes including 'Chasing The Dragon' which looked at the growing drugs problem amongst Asian youth.

Rajesh has also presented BBC 2's 'The Ozone' where he stayed for two years before becoming the News presenter on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Sara Cox. He now gets 'Backstage' on Radio One in his weekly Sunday radio show which gets VIP access to all the major music events.

Dr. Raj Persaud


Dr Persaud has eight degrees and diplomas and was one of the youngest doctors ever to be appointed as a Consultant Psychiatrist at the prestigious Bethlem Royal and Maudesley Hospitals in South London, a post which he still holds. Dr Persaud has published over sixty research papers in academic journals as well as more popular pieces in the national press. He now writes regularly for The Independent, The Daily Telegraph, The Financial Times, The Evening Standard, The Daily Mail and The New Scientist. He also has a monthly column in Cosmopolitan and is Contributing Editor to Men's Health magazine. Dr Persuad is the resident psychiatrist on Granada TV's 'This Morning with Richard and Judy' and has made guest appearances on numerous television shows.
