Singh's critically acclaimed solo debut album features sounds of India, Japan and Africa. Guest artists include Shankar Mahadevan, Devi- a 22 year old veena player from Chennai, actor Ajay Naidu, Japannese Superstar Ryuichi Sakamoto, Sarangi mastero Ustad Sultan Khan, composer Illayraja and Flautist Rakesh Chaurasia.

Singh has toured with David Bowie and Bjork, remixed Madonna and played tabla for Massice Attack , and his music appeared on the soundtrack for the film "The Replacement Killers"

Its dance music, it's mood music, described as drum'n'bass in one magazine and as "ambient" in another, just Talvin Singh himself can be described as quintessentially London in one breath (London's dizzying ethnic variety finds a home in his music) and 99% pure Indian in the next.
