Asian feature of da month
Whether its ragatronic, dhol-n'-bass loops, or tabla hop the audiospheric spiraling of Asian Underground interconnects several paths to musical enlightenment. These explorers seek infinite possibilities of silicon -based programming and  gizmos, they enrich the digital with the analog megalegacy of Indian - Pakistani trade, punching in other grrovalicious globalilsms that inspire them. Ofcourse when it comes to that fusion think, Ravi Shankar, Ananda Shankar, Anoushka Shankar, late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan  have been there and done that. Innovators like Talvin Singh, Karsh Kale, Bally Sagoo, ADF, Badmarsh & Shr....have massively embraced the microchip muse and brought the latest Asian wave crashing down into the clubs.

Talvin's weapon of choice is not the ritual knife, just a shiny disc that reflects the many facets of his groundbreaking journey. The post-punk guy has carried all kind of waves  Singh says  "I worked in the background for a long time, even refusing to make a record. I was wild. But then i got a sound: my own. I've been aware of its natural develpoment for about four years. It takes time to reach the right level, to be able to put your own desires own paper. In the meantime he has done numerous remixes from Graham Haynes to Madonna. He's refused some too, such as Robert Plant. Singh says" he sent me his manager, I want to be asked in person! "  Musician Talvin Singh and late Ted Hughes poet were winners at the South Bank Show Awards  in London. tabla player Singh beat Robbie Williams and Massive Attack to the pop musician of the year award. But it was former Ginger Spice who took the audiences attention when she presented the best musician award to Singh when she turned up on stage with Harry.
